Cookies Policy
Last updated: 27 May 2026
This policy explains how DPDPA Suite uses cookies and similar technologies on dpdpasuite.com, what each category is used for, and how you can exercise control over them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, mobile) when you visit it. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you do not have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back or move between pages.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, pixel tags, web beacons and SDKs in mobile apps. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Why we use cookies
- To keep you signed in and protect your session.
- To remember preferences such as theme, language and last-viewed dashboard.
- To measure how the site is used in aggregate so we can improve performance.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
3. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for authentication, session integrity, CSRF protection and load balancing. Without these the Service cannot function. These cookies cannot be disabled through the consent banner.
- Preference cookies — remember UI choices such as theme, language and table layouts. Set only after you interact with those features.
- Analytics cookies — aggregated, privacy-preserving usage metrics (pageviews, navigation paths, performance timings). Loaded only after you accept analytics in the consent banner.
- Security cookies — fraud detection, bot detection and rate limiting. Treated as strictly necessary.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data through cookies.
4. Retention
Strictly necessary session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Preference and analytics cookies are stored for up to 12 months, after which they are automatically renewed or expire. You can shorten this period by clearing your browser storage at any time.
5. Managing your choices
On your first visit you can accept all cookies or restrict the site to essential cookies only via the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the dpdpa-cookie-consent entry in your browser storage and reloading the page. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely from their settings — see your browser's help documentation. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may break login and other core functionality.
6. Third parties
We may load analytics scripts from vetted sub-processors only after you accept analytics cookies. These sub-processors operate under written DPDP-compliant contracts and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes or for cross-site advertising.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the "Do Not Track" header and the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends them — in such cases we treat the visit as if you had chosen "Essential only" in our consent banner.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law or our practices. Material changes will be communicated through the consent banner or by email to account holders.
